# Betting Rules and Regulations

## I. Settlement Rules

• We reserve the right to cancel any bet if odds are offered when the outcome is already known.

• We reserve the right to cancel bets with obvious odds errors, including cases where the payout deviates by more than 100% from the market average.

• We reserve the right to correct any market settlement errors at any time.

• If a match does not follow the generally accepted format (e.g., unusual period length, scoring procedure), we reserve the right to void any market.

• If official results are delayed, we reserve the right to delay settlement until official confirmation.

• Matches will be settled based on the original result even if the outcome is revised post-match (e.g., due to ineligible player participation).

## II. General Rules

Unless otherwise specified (such as the specific rules for each sport) —— the “general rules” principle applies to all betting.

#### 1. Match Schedule Rules

• All matches must be played on the specified date (within the same day) and at the specified venue. Otherwise, all bets are considered invalid.

• If the scheduled teams change (one or both teams), all bets for that match will be cancelled.

• If a participant withdraws before the event starts, all bets on that participant will be declared void.

#### 2. Venue Rules

• If a match venue is changed (other than to the away team's ground) then bets already placed will stand providing the home team is still designated as such.

• If the home and away team for a listed match are reversed (e.g. match is played at the original away team's ground) then bets placed based on the original listing will be void.

• For matches played at a neutral venue, bets will stand regardless of which team is listed as the home team.

#### 3. Postponement & Interruption Rules

• If the match is interrupted for any reason and resumes within 5 hours of the originally scheduled start time, all bets will remain valid; otherwise, the bets will be void. This does not apply where sport-specific rules state otherwise. (e.g., Baseball).

• If a match is interrupted and replayed, it will be considered an abandoned match, and all bets on the original match will be invalid.

• If a match is unfinished or not played (due to disqualification, withdrawal, result change, etc.), all markets are considered invalid.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://developer.aiodds.com/help-center/settlement/betting-rules-and-regulations.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
